Right now is a challenging time for many small businesses. Restaurants and other places where people shop and gather have been hit hard by the necessary restrictions on our activities. Many of these businesses are where your friends and neighbors earn their livelihoods. It isn;t hard to find a heart-breaking story about a local small business closing and some are unsure if they will reopen when conditions change. Or will be able to do so.
Some businesses – restaurants and others – are doing their best to stay open and to keep their employees on staff. They are offering delivery of goods or food or convenient pick-up. Various local groups and governments are providing lists to show you who in your area is open. The list below is a sample – check out your community’s local government or chamber of commerce to see if they have a list for your area. For example, the Downtown Dayton Partnership has a great page detailing “OPEN* Downtown” (list of downtown Dayton businesses open and providing goods and services) – https://www.downtowndayton.org/open/.
